1. Definitions & Scope of Service
This Service Level Agreement ("Agreement") constitutes a legally binding contract between Shantanu Packers and Movers ("Company", "We", "Us") and the customer ("Client", "You") contracting household shifting, corporate office relocation, vehicle transportation, packing, loading, unloading, or warehousing services. By booking a move, paying an advance deposit, or signing the consignment note (LR copy), you explicitly agree to these Terms.
2. Quotation, Inventory & Binding Estimates
All quotations provided by Shantanu Packers and Movers are calculated on the basis of the declared inventory list, floor levels, lift availability, distance, and specialized packing requirements.
- Quotations remain valid for 15 days from the date of issuance.
- Any additional items added to the inventory on the move day not included in the original survey will incur supplementary itemized charges.
- We strictly uphold a Zero Hidden Charges policy. What is agreed upon in the binding written estimate is the exact final charge, subject only to customer-requested inventory additions.
3. Booking Confirmation & Payment Milestones
To lock in your preferred vehicle fleet and crew schedule, the following payment terms apply:
- Advance Deposit: A standard 10% to 20% advance token is required to confirm your moving date and allocate dedicated container vehicles.
- On Loading / Dispatch: 70% to 80% is payable upon completion of 4-layer packaging and loading into the container truck.
- Final Settlement: The remaining balance must be cleared upon successful delivery, before final unpacking at the destination premises.
- Payments are accepted via UPI, IMPS/NEFT Bank Transfer, and authorized digital gateways. Official GST / MSME invoice receipts are issued upon clearance.
4. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Postponement Policy
- Notice > 48 Hours: If a move is cancelled or rescheduled more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled packing time, the advance deposit is 100% refundable or freely transferable to a future date within 90 days.
- Notice < 24 Hours: Cancellations made within 24 hours of scheduled dispatch may attract a nominal administrative charge (₹500 - ₹1,000) to compensate for crew dispatch and reserved vehicle holding.
5. Prohibited, Hazardous & Personal Valuables
For safety and legal compliance, the following items must NEVER be packed into general moving cartons or container trucks:
- Flammable liquids, LPG gas cylinders, kerosene, acids, fireworks, matches, and chemicals.
- Cash currency, negotiable instruments, bearer bonds, credit/debit cards, and bullion.
- Jewelry, precious gems, gold, silver ornaments, and luxury wristwatches.
- Personal legal documents (Passports, Property deeds, Aadhaar/PAN cards, educational certificates).
- Perishable food items, live plants, and domestic pets.
The Client is strictly advised to carry all personal documents, jewelry, and cash in their personal custody. The Company bears zero liability for undeclared prohibited items.
6. Packaging Standards & Client Responsibilities
Shantanu Packers and Movers utilizes high-grade 4-layer protective packaging (bubble wrap, corrugated sheets, stretch film, and edge guards). To assist our crew:
- Refrigerators must be defrosted, emptied, and dried at least 12 hours prior to the move.
- Washing machines must be drained of internal water, and transit drum bolts should be made available if required.
- Society / Building society permissions (gate passes, service lift bookings, parking clearances) must be pre-arranged by the Client.
7. Transit Insurance, Coverage & Liability Limitations
All intercity and long-distance relocations are conducted under comprehensive transit insurance policies to safeguard against unforeseen road accidents, fire, overturning, or natural calamities.
- Insurance covers total loss or physical transit damage to insured declared goods.
- Pre-existing internal electrical/mechanical failures of appliances (compressor malfunctions without external physical impact) are not covered by standard transit risk policies.
- Goods packed personally by the Client (PBO - Packed by Owner) without Company supervisor verification are excluded from transit breakage claims.
8. Damage Reporting & Claims Settlement Protocol
In the rare event of physical damage during transit:
- The Client must inspect all goods upon unloading and record any visible damage directly on the physical Delivery Note (LR copy) before the supervisor leaves.
- A formal claim accompanied by clear photographs must be emailed to shantanupackers@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery.
- Our claims officer will investigate and process genuine claim settlements within 7 to 10 business days.
9. Vehicle Transport Terms (Car & Bike)
- Vehicles must contain a minimum fuel level (approximately 5 to 10 liters) for loading/unloading maneuvers. Excessive fuel must be drained prior to transport.
- A joint pre-dispatch vehicle inspection sheet detailing odometer reading, fuel level, and existing scratches/dents will be signed prior to loading.
- Client must provide copies of Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC), valid insurance, and PUC certificate.
10. Governing Law & Legal Jurisdiction
